LVAYN

LVAYN is an Afrohouse and Afrotech DJ and producer based in New York City. His sound focuses on rhythm, restraint, and emotional flow. He plays primarily between 118-125 BPM, with 120 as his core tempo. His style aligns with artists such as Black Coffee, Rampa, Shimza, Enoo Napa, Samm (BE), AJNA , and more.

Music has always been central to LVAYN from a young age. He began playing saxophone at seven and developed a strong musical foundation through years of performance and training. His work on saxophone led him to perform at world-renowned venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. That live experience shaped his sense of timing, phrasing, and improvisation, qualities that now translate directly into his DJ sets and productions.

Although he grew up around house music, his personal connection to electronic music came later. A Black Coffee set in Mykonos marked the turning point. The depth of the grooves, the patience in the builds, and the emotional weight of the music made a lasting impact. Afrohouse became the sound he fully connected with.

He began curating Afrohouse playlists and studying the scene through artists like Shimza and Keinemusik. Using money saved from a sneaker business he ran, LVAYN purchased his first DJ controller, began creating content, and soon landed his first Manhattan nightclub booking.

Since then, LVAYN has played across New York City and gained support from DJs and producers including Rampa (Keinemusik), Francis Mercier, Enoo Napa, Da Capo, Chris IDH, Solto (FR), Tayllor, Cato Anaya, Claraa, and many more artists through live performances and online content.
