Legoteddys is the artistic project of Mexican producer, DJ, composer and musician Emmanuel Azuara Rodríguez, originally from Monterrey, Nuevo León.
His history with music began in 2014 and, since then, the project has developed through different stages, sounds and identities. What began with a strong influence of electronic music evolved into a much broader proposal, where dance, electronica, alternative pop, UK garage and experimental elements coexist.
Rather than staying within a single genre, Legoteddys understands each project as an opportunity to build a different universe. Their music can go from the energy of a club to deeply personal songs, using electronic production, textures, vocals, samples, and unconventional structures to turn memories and emotions into sound.
Throughout his career he has published projects such as Parachute, HISTORIAS DE UN VIRGO, P.S. I Hope You're Happy, FUTURE'S GOING TO BE OKAY.usb0, ALL GOOD THINGS, MUST COME TO AN END! and Good Luck, Have Fun, showing a constant evolution both musically and conceptually.
Influenced by artists and projects that understand the album as a complete experience, Legoteddys finds references in universes such as Daft Punk, Frank Ocean, The 1975 and different generations of electronic and alternative music. His own Apple Music profile highlights Daft Punk's Discovery, Michael Jackson's Thriller and The 1975's A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships among the albums fundamental to his artistic vision.
In parallel to his studio work, the project finds another identity behind turntables. As a DJ, Legoteddys seeks dynamic sets where the selection, transitions and energy of the track work as an extension of his facet as a producer.
After more than a decade creating music, Legoteddys continues to operate under the same idea that gave rise to the project: to evolve without being limited by a genre, to experiment with new ways of making music and to build songs capable of representing a moment in life.
