With 18 years of experience, Kursiva has established himself as one of the great references of drum & bass in Spain and a recognized figure on the international scene for his versatility, technique and live energy. His career combines the solidity of an experienced producer with the delivery of a DJ capable of transforming each performance into an immersive and unforgettable experience.
From his beginnings in turntablism and scratching, Kursiva developed his own style characterized by fast mixes, surgical precision and a constant connection with the audience. Over the years, their sound has evolved without losing identity, covering all aspects of drum & bass, from raggajungle to jump up, through liquid, deep, dancefloor and the most intense neurofunk.
In the studio, Kursiva has published on reference labels such as Eatbrain, Bad Taste, Subtitles, C4C, Technique, Jungle Cakes and Dub Shotta, consolidating himself as one of the national producers with the greatest international projection. He is also the Spanish artist with the most vinyl releases within the genre (8 references), a reflection of a constant, solid and evolving career.
Songs such as "Nasty", "Feed Your Soul", "I Don't Care" or his official remix of "Power" by Congo Natty & Benny Page marked a before and after in his sound, obtaining the support of references such as Pendulum, Camo & Krooked, Noisia, Calyx & Teebee or Hybrid Minds, as well as being played on prestigious stations such as BBC Radio 1 and Kool FM.
Their catalog also includes collaborations with artists such as Benny Page or Puto Largo, and remixes for figures such as General Levy, Stickybuds or the duo Optiv & CZA.
In the field of live performances, Kursiva has taken his music to Europe, Latin America and North America, performing throughout Spain and in clubs in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia, Estonia, Hungary, Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala and Canada.
He has participated in some of the most important festivals on the circuit, including Monegros Desert Festival, Dreambeach (in several editions) and Let It Roll, where he closed one of the stages on the last day of the event. His multi-course show, his mastery of rhythm and his dedication on stage have made him one of the most respected and demanded DJs on the national scene.
Beyond his facet as an artist, Kursiva drives the scene from the ground up through South Yard, his own record label. Initially focused on sounds influenced by reggae and jungle, the label has evolved into a more serious and contemporary sound, encompassing different aspects of drum and bass without losing its original spirit of connection and roots.
From his professional studio, Loud Dynamics, Kursiva works as a mastering engineer, collaborating with international artists and labels and consolidating a technical reputation based on precision, a taste for detail and the pursuit of the highest sound quality.
After the success of his debut album "Waveform Shapeshifter", which received the support of international figures, Kursiva is preparing his second solo work, "Ataraxia", a more personal and mature album that reflects his artistic and emotional evolution.
His current approach unites energy, precision and emotion, showing an artist who has learned to transform his passion into a sound language of his own.
Today, Kursiva represents the maturity, discipline and expansion of Spanish drum and bass in the world: a well-rounded artist, with his feet on the ground, an eye on the future and a connection with the public that is only achieved after almost two decades living for and for music.
