Kaori Watt

Kaori Watt is a Tokyo-based DJ and producer shaping her own brand of driving, peak-time techno with a visceral energy. Her sound fuses futuristic synth textures with the raw spirit of 90s rave culture, creating a hypnotic and powerful impact on the dancefloor. She first gained international recognition under the alias Sugar Sweetie, becoming a finalist in Beatport’s The Big Break and winning the Mixmag Japan Special Recognition Award at “THE NEXT.” Early releases such as Ravers Policy (Mincode Music) and MLTVRS (Kyatt) showcased her bold approach to rave-inspired techno. Since rebranding as Kaori Watt in 2022, she has performed at Tokyo’s leading clubs including WOMB and Ojo Building, and released music on labels such as Sound Dissonance, Set About, and Physical Techno Recordings. Her trajectory is steadily extending from Tokyo to Europe, positioning her as one of Japan’s most exciting techno exports.
