insan ishan

insan ishan’s musical odyssey is a journey from the ancient rhythms of Eastern Anatolia to the pulsing heart of Istanbul’s underground scene. Born in Elazığ in 2001, his path began with the strings of a guitar during his high school years. This foundation eventually led him into the world of DAWs, where he began a meticulous process of recording and layering traditional folkloric instruments over electronic textures.

Currently a university student in Istanbul, his artistic identity has undergone a significant evolution. Having performed under previous monikers such as Bretzel and DJ İnsan, he has now crystallized his vision through the "insan ishan" project, focusing on a deeply atmospheric blend of Anatolian Trip Hop.

His presence in the scene is multi-faceted. As a resident DJ at Temple Radio and a key figure behind the NükteDance Collective, he has been instrumental in curating unique musical experiences. His versatility has seen him perform at major festivals like Into the Core and Karma, as well as iconic venues and underground spaces including Karga Kadıköy, NOH.extended, Emmy and Flu, and Sins Event Hall. By weaving together his multi-instrumental roots with contemporary production, insan ishan creates a sonic narrative that is both culturally grounded and relentlessly experimental.
