Dj X (Equi)

Hello, my name is Ezequiel Silva, artistically known as DJ X (Equi). I currently reside in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

My relationship with music began at a very young age. I grew up listening to iconic artists such as Michael Jackson and Queen, and bands such as Korn (my favorite since I was 9 years old), The Offspring, Green Day and Blink-182, among others. That musical diversity was forming my sound identity from an early age.

Like many teenagers, I started attending cumbia and reggaeton clubs with my friends, although I was always especially attracted to electronic music tracks when the place allowed it. From 2011, I began to attend large festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Creamfields, Only Armin, Moonpark, among others, where a strong admiration for the work of DJs and the energy they generated from the booth was born.

In 2017 I had my first contacts with local producers and DJs from the electronic scene, which prompted me to start my training in mixing techniques, working with vinyl, CDJs and controllers. Although at first the lack of resources limited my growth, in 2018 I managed to acquire a Pioneer DDJ-SB2 with a friend, with which we began to practice and develop our sound in the basement of the gastronomic establishment where I worked.

From that moment on, we began to organize and participate in events in different bars and nightclubs in C.A.B.A. Like all DJs in his beginnings, the audience was small and mostly made up of family, friends and acquaintances, but each date was an experience of learning and growth.

I am currently a resident DJ in cycles such as @moon_dancing_oficial, @livingroom_oficial and @close_encounter_oficial, where we explore different styles within electronica, such as progressive, house, techno, trance and psy.

This is only part of my story. This 2026, with more knowledge, experience and tools, my goal is to continue growing, perfecting myself as an artist and taking my musical identity to new levels. 🎧✨🔥🇦🇷
