Full bio

I was born on January 3, 1996 in Bogotá and grew up in Engativá, the neighborhood that saw me become who I am today: NIXRØ.

But my history with electronic music began long before I had a stage name. I was just twelve years old when a family member, unknowingly, changed my life. At home I used to play trance, tech house and techno, and I would stay there, glued to the sound, feeling something I couldn't explain. That music got into me and never went away; It has been present in the most important moments and also in the most difficult moments of my life, as a kind of refuge.

I finished school without really knowing what I wanted to do and I tried to study other things that, honestly, never fully fulfilled me. It was researching, listening, attending parties and letting myself be enveloped by that collective energy of the track that I understood that I didn't want to listen to techno only from the outside: I wanted to do it myself.

So I decided to take seriously what was always my passion and, in 2025, I became certified as a Basic and Professional DJ at Madskills Academy, in Bogotá. It wasn't just a title; It was confirmation that I could build a life around what I love.

When I think about my place within this scene, I can't help but feel like I'm part of something much bigger than myself. Bogotá techno was born in the nineties, in the midst of clandestine parties and spaces such as Cinema, in a city that was just beginning to differentiate electronic music from predominant genres such as salsa and crossover. That underground scene grew little by little, supported by collectives and DJs who learned to mix by ear, importing vinyl at very high prices just for the love of this sound.

From that movement arose Octava, one of the clubs founded by Gerard Radio, and every time I step foot in that place I feel that I walk in the footsteps of those who made it possible for this music to have a home in my city.

My sound moves between techno, hard techno, trance and eurodance. I drink from references such as Funk Tribu, Victor Ruiz and Mauro Picotto, artists who have taught me both technique and attitude in front of the dance floor.

Today I share every set on SoundCloud, not looking for fame, but for that same feeling I felt as a child listening to music at home: that of never wanting the song to end.
