Danms.UKG

Danms is a DJ from Lima, Peru, mainly linked to the sounds of British roots, mainly focused on UK Garage, Speed Garage and Bassline, in addition to a repertoire that includes Tech House, House and Minimal.

His proposal is built progressively, adapting to the context of each night, he develops the groove gradually, creating the necessary space for the dance floor to begin to come to life. As the night progresses, his sound can move towards a more intense and forceful proposal, marked by bounce, bass and a selection influenced by artists such as Jack Marlow, Interplanetary Criminal, Silva Bumpa, Joe Hunt and Sam Alfred.

However, intensity is only part of his proposal. Danms seeks to generate moments that connect with those in front of the booth: to go from a groove loaded with bounce to a more sentimental track, build tension, release it at the right moment and create those moments in which, for a few minutes, everything else stops mattering.

For Danms, being in the booth means letting yourself be carried away by the music. Connecting with the audience, seeing people dance, enjoying and sharing the same feeling is an essential part of what it means to be a DJ.

With presentations at the Open Call of Motion Super Club, Camaná mansion, different editions of Emotions, she is currently part of the roster of residents of Emotions Club. Her career also includes her participation in the first edition of Parqueo, a proposal that had the UK Garage as the protagonist, in a context where there are still few promoters who bet on this genre in Peru, developing a proposal that seeks to turn each presentation into something more than a music session: an experience that remains in the memory.

Because a good night is not always remembered for what happened, but for what it made you feel.
