Full bio

Calvin Harris, born Adam Richard Wiles in Dumfries, Scotland, is a multifaceted artist: singer, songwriter, DJ and record producer, and one of the most influential figures in British popular culture. His musical career began in his teens, when he was attracted to electronic music and began recording demos in his bedroom. This self-taught talent materialized in his debut album, I Created Disco (2007), which reached #8 on the UK Albums Chart, marking the beginning of an exceptional career. Their second album, Ready for the Weekend (2009), reached #1 on the UK chart, with the single "I'm Not Alone" becoming their first UK No. 1. However, it was with 18 Months (2012) that Harris achieved global fame: the album reached #19 on the US Billboard 200 and broke records with eight UK top 10 singles, including the collaboration with Rihanna on "We Found Love", which topped the global charts. This achievement surpassed Michael Jackson's record, cementing Harris as a benchmark in electronic music. In addition to her musical successes, Harris has demonstrated a strong social commitment. It has supported causes such as preventing youth suicide, fighting homelessness, and helping children affected by armed conflict. Following tragedies such as the Las Vegas shooting, he made significant donations, showing his dedication to making a positive impact beyond music. With a career that continues to evolve, Calvin Harris continues to innovate and collaborate with global artists, redefining the electronic music landscape and leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
