The career of Artus (Cangas do Morrazo) cannot be understood without his technical training and his deep artistic sensitivity. A conservatory musician from a very early age, his first steps were not behind a mixing desk, but as part of various bands that allowed him to absorb the essence of live performance. This academic base, added to a strong influence of Jazz, Funk and the sounds of the 80s, endowed his ear with a wealth of nuances that would mark his definitive sound identity.
The turn of the millennium marked a turning point in his career: the transition from organic to electronic music. In the early 2000s, influenced by the avant-garde of the time, Artus immersed himself fully in the clubbing scene beginning his early years playing Techno. Although his initial sets had the forcefulness of that genre, his style always naturally tended towards a more musical and harmonic side, moving away from industrial patterns. It was this instinct that led him to discover House, the genre that ultimately defined his path and allowed him to fuse his melodic heritage with the energy of the dance floor.
During the golden years of the Vigo scene, he became a regular figure in legendary booths such as El Manco, Vademecum, Bauhaus, El Zoom, etc., as well as maintaining multiple residences in El Morrazo, Vigo and Lugo. His commitment to local culture led him to be a key player in the founding of the FeeltheTrip collective and the Teorema Netlabel label in his native Cangas.
After a season disconnected from the scene, Artus now returns with renewed maturity and more strength than ever. His style has evolved while maintaining its unalterable essence: deep, evolving music with a great melodic component that avoids repetitiveness. Currently, his House sessions are a journey marked by acid sounds, hypnotic basses, vocals and a lot of groove, but always sprinkled with those timeless classics that are never missing from his sets and that pay homage to his roots.
