Altrego

Mario Arizpe (Altrego) is an El Paso, Texas-based DJ, photographer, and nightlife professional with more than 20 years of deep roots in the local scene. As a Tusks cofounder and longtime web and social media lead, Mario has built lasting relationships across the region’s promoters, venues, and artists - and he brings that community-first perspective to every set. Altrego began DJing in 2022, first playing house parties and local events before moving into club and showcase bookings. His sound is a clean, dancefloor-forward mix of indie dance, 80s dance remixes, and house - equal parts nostalgia and forward motion. Career highlights include opening for Patterns Audio Podcast’s showcase at Club Function (2023), warming up for Pig & Dan at 808 (2024), and appearing on the Patterns Audio Podcast. In 2025 he played Flavor Core’s Sundown Sessions and delivered a standout B2B with Ciudad Juarez’s DJ Priorato for Flavor Core and Aftershock (livestream). He also performed out of area for the first time at Moonlight Lounge in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Notable support: Pig & Dan; FEC.
