Full bio

ALMAT is an Ecuadorian DJ and producer whose music explores the idea of lost rhythms: hypnotic patterns, slowly evolving textures, and small details capable of transforming the energy of a dance floor.

Based between the south of the Sierra and the Amazon region of Ecuador, he develops a proposal where minimal, deep and tech house dialogue with influences of breakbeat, acid textures and a marked atmospheric sensitivity. Their productions are built from repetition and movement, allowing each element to evolve organically while the groove and tension grow naturally.

More than producing tools for the club or following trends, ALMAT creates sound paths. His compositions are designed to evolve over time through subtle variations, fragmented vocals, and a rhythmic architecture that invites both listening and dancing. That same philosophy defines their DJ sets, where the musical selection prioritizes depth, groove and a constant evolution of energy.

Since 2016 he has been the founder of Soul 47, a cultural platform dedicated to the development of the electronic scene in the southern Sierra and the Amazon region of Ecuador. As director of Soul47 Records, he promotes a catalog oriented to its own sound identity and the projection of independent artists.

His work has received support from international platforms such as Trommel and Ibiza Pure Radio. He was also featured and interviewed by Music Is 4 Lovers, while his DJ sets have been broadcast by Deep House Moscow and Ibiza Global Radio.

Throughout his career he has shared the booth with Stefano Noferini, John Acquaviva, Lola Palmer and Aliosha Barreiro, as well as performing in spaces such as Lost Beach Club, Casa Groove and Hide Out, as well as at festivals and cultural gatherings such as Rotofest and Fiesta de la Música.

He is also the creator of Gualadance Festival, an independent meeting that promotes cultural exchange and the development of electronic music outside the traditional circuits of Ecuador.

Each ALMAT production is based on the same premise: to create music that remains in motion, where groove, tension and repetition turn the dance floor into an immersive experience.
