DJ Frankie Gioia got his passion for music listening to his dad’s vinyl collection where a then 12 year old Frankie became transfixed with playing his favourite dj’s mix tapes & the depiction of DJ’ing. From that moment Frankie was hooked taking part time jobs whilst at High school and spending his money at record stores & buying his first set of decks. He quickly became a fixture at some of the best venues in uk known for combining his knowledge of classic funk, soul, disco and house music. His unique sound caught the ears of Barry Mac the main promoter of Garlands Liverpool who invited Frankie to enter a competition that he ultimately won, the prize to become a weekly resident playing alongside the best DJ’s in the world. As his reputation enhanced he began hosting his own parties to sell out crowds in the north west. Currently, Frankie is a regular fixture for the Cafe Mambo brand, also hosting sell out G&G parties at prestigious venues such as Chester Cathedral, and playing at festivals alongside Sister Sledge & Billy Ocean, production under Lost Rhythm alias joining forces with fellow selectors Adam Guy & Jon Besant, Frankie has earned the reputation as the go-to DJ for the top venues from UK to Ibiza
