Butter.Jim

Butter.Jim is a Madrid-based DJ, born in 1991, shaped by a deep-rooted connection to music where rhythm, technique and vinyl culture form a shared language. From an early age, music became a space for exploration and balance, influenced by the funk, soul and electronic sounds of the 80s and 90s. Emerging from hip hop, turntablism and the art of sampling, his approach reflects a strong bond with physical formats. After spending some years living in Amsterdam and Copenhagen, he discovered his purest connection to techno, deeply shaped by the club culture and underground scenes of both cities. In 2010, he joined Colective K (Madrid), where he developed his identity as a resident DJ while becoming a key figure in the project’s technical backbone. His DJ sets are built around a hybrid setup, primarily focused on vinyl, blending precision with a contemporary perspective on DJing. With a deep love for broken rhythms, Butter.Jim moves fluidly through Electrofunk, Acid House, Breakbeat and techno, always searching for tension, groove and movement on the dancefloor.
