Veil is a DJ and music curator based in Mérida, Mexico, with over 20 years of experience navigating the electronic music scene through a distinctive and forward-thinking lens. His philosophy—“seeing beyond the veil”—defines a sound built on discovery: introducing audiences to music they didn’t know they needed, yet instantly connect with.
Rather than following trends, Veil places curation at the core of his identity. His sets are carefully crafted journeys that blend afro house, indie dance, house, and melodic techno, creating hypnotic, tribal-driven atmospheres with a subtle dark edge that encourage deep, collective movement on the dancefloor.
Beyond the booth, Veil is a musician and audio engineer, bringing a high level of technical understanding to every performance. His ability to read and adapt to any environment ensures a consistent, high-quality sonic experience. He also runs a music studio and DJ academy in Mérida, where he mentors emerging talent—many of whom have gone on to become residents at some of the region’s leading venues.
Throughout his career, he has performed across key destinations in southeastern Mexico, including Tulum, with standout appearances at Buut’s Ha, a beach club known for its music-first philosophy, as well as Casa Pompi in Mérida, a cult venue within the local electronic scene.
Influenced by artists like Dixon and the Innervisions label, alongside names such as Âme, Ede, Matara and Ivan Masa, Veil continues to explore the intersection of emotional depth and dancefloor energy.
In the booth, his energy translates into flow, rhythm, and a deeply immersive narrative, inviting listeners to let go, connect, and experience music beyond the expected.
