Biographie complète

NUKEM DUKE Forged in the sweat-soaked basements and warehouse shadows of Ontario’s early 2000s rave circuit, Nukem Duke first stepped behind the decks in 2001—an unplanned invitation that ignited a lifelong obsession with high-voltage sound. What started as a single set turned into a two-decade mission to shake foundations and keep the underground alive. Cutting his teeth on hard house, hardstyle, hard trance, and psytrance, Nukem Duke became known for relentless, generator-level intensity—sets built not just to move crowds, but to push them into full-body surrender. There’s no filler in his sound. No safe moments. Just raw pressure and forward momentum. By 2004, performing under his original moniker Max Power, he had carved out his place on open decks and renegade stages at World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF)—standing shoulder-to-shoulder with those who lived and breathed the true Canadian underground. No VIP sections. No polish. Just massive sound systems, mud-stained boots, and crowds starving for something real. In 2009, he surged into the finals of 246Live Radio’s DJ competition in Toronto, claiming 4th place in a lineup stacked with the city’s heaviest hitters. The archived set sparked a wave of momentum that led to spinning three nights a week across the GTA, holding dual residencies on the same night, and becoming a fixture in Toronto’s after-hours ecosystem. While others chased trends, Nukem Duke built his reputation in dark rooms where the low end never sleeps. For over two decades, he has left his imprint on raves across Toronto, Scarborough, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Barrie, Mississauga, Montreal, and Ottawa—helping shape and sustain Canada’s underground culture from the inside out. This was never a hobby. It was a movement. A responsibility. A fire that needed feeding. And when spinning wasn’t enough, he built his own battlegrounds. He threw raves beneath Hwy 401 overpasses. He flooded an abandoned Toronto train station with forbidden frequencies. He transformed a dead shopping center into a living organism of bass. He pushed Cherry Beach into sunrise delirium more times than anyone can count. Festival appearances include: Teknvial (2009, 2010) 3 Nights of Beats (2011) 2 Nights of Beats (2012) Love & Kindness Festival (2019, 2020) Bass & Unity Festival 2025 – Renegade Stage Today, Nukem Duke continues evolving—rooted firmly in underground culture while broadcasting high-energy sessions to a global audience across TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch. Two decades deep and still renegade at heart, he stands as a lifer in the scene—one of the heads who never left, never compromised, and never stopped feeding the night.
