Andrés Pivaral, performing under the alias APIVS, is a Guatemalan DJ and producer whose sound proposal is built both on rhythm and texture. His sound moves between groovy and hypnotic Techno, fueled by both the essence of early 2000s Hardgroove and the contemporary new wave. This duality allows him to deliver sets with raw, driving energy for dancefloor dynamics.
A regular figure in the most prominent circuits and venues across Guatemala City and Quetzaltenango, APIVS has shared booth with the country’s leading national acts and provided support for international figures such as Weska, Nicolás Taboada, Prok & Fitch, James Dexter, and Pablo Ceballos. His technical proficiency has allowed him to further spread his sound to events in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, consolidating his regional presence.
As co-founder of the Graveyard promoter and following performances at events like Corona Sunsets, APIVS balances his role as a curator with his craft as a DJ. Currently, he is evolving his studio work, developing productions with increasingly refined sound design and a technical identity in constant growth.
