Omar is a Madrid-born DJ and performer with roots in Morocco and Guinea-Bissau. His musical sensibility was sparked at home by his brother's vinyl collection (mostly minimal and techno) later shaped through physical theater and bodywork—cultivating a deep connection with ambient and musique concrète , a practice that evolved hand-in-hand with his immersion into experimental hip hop and the UK electronic music scene primarly.
Guided by intuition, his sets navigate the space between warmth and darkness, using a minimalist approach where raw textures modulate the energy of the floor. Moving beyond rigid genres, he weaves flashes of nostalgia into forward-thinking electronic music.
He is now driving ALTA (A Lot Of Tracks Ago) a personal space for boundary-pushing electronics, immersive soundscapes, and cross-genre rhythm exploration in the african continent.
