Jeff Mills (born June 18, 1963, Detroit) is a pioneering techno DJ, producer, and conceptual artist. A founding member of Detroit’s Underground Resistance, Mills is known for minimal, futuristic soundscapes, for championing techno as art, and for marathon sets — sometimes playing with three decks. He’s a key figure in techno’s global influence.
