Bootshaus Music releases its first compilation. „Homebase Compilation Vol.1" arrives less than seven months after the label's very first record and gathers ten tracks from ten projects. A snapshot of what has been built here week after week since February 2026: twenty-seven singles in just over seven months, and now, for the first time, all of it in one place. The range is the point. Makla opens with Bass House somewhere between London and Berlin, LUNAS and LOWFRK & FLOREN work two very different ends of Drum & Bass, TOXSYCK pulls the record into Dubstep, JORDVN PRINCE turns it toward peak-time Techno, LAWE and Cr0w4y offer two readings of UK Garage, Tim Bell handles the Mainstage side, N!smo, Snrs and 24h bring the sunlit Tech House and L3ss the Electronic House. Ten signatures with no common denominator, except the place they all run through. Which is exactly what the title means. Bootshaus Music is the label of Bootshaus in Cologne, and the compilation translates the logic of a club night into a tracklist: different floors, one building. The artists come from Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Israel and India. The homebase stays the same.

Issued on the label’s latest vinyl batch, the track feels designed for both the main room and the late‑night back‑corner, where the interplay of rhythm and texture can be examined up close. The rhythmic construction is immediately recognisable as a hybrid. A solid four‑to‑the‑floor kick anchors the groove, while the hi‑hats adopt the characteristic 2‑step shuffle of garage, cutting the straight pulse into a series of short, off‑grid bursts. Layered on top, a crisp snare lands on the second and fourth beats, but is punctuated by occasional ghost hits that create a subtle sense of forward propulsion. The bassline, heavily side‑chained to the kick, follows a syncopated pattern that slides between the straight house thump and the more stuttered garage rhythm, giving the track a kinetic tension that never settles into monotony. Synth work on “Good” leans into the electro house palette without abandoning the garage aesthetic. A bright, metallic stab repeats every eight bars, its timbre filtered just enough to sit beneath the bass while still cutting through the mix.
