Bastian’s World is the artistic vision of Jose A. Martos López (BeatMaster JML), a German-born producer, composer, and sound engineer now based in Granada, Spain. Blending electropunk, techno trance, hip-hop, big beat, synthwave, and ambient electronica, his sound is a bold fusion of underground energy and cinematic experimentation. Active since the mid‑90s, BeatMaster JML began crafting electronic music with a Commodore 64 and homemade samples, later co‑founding UCM Communications and releasing several albums before launching his solo career. Over the years, he has collaborated with international names including DJ Rap, Rapmonkeys, and Martin “Youth” Glover, and joined forces with Julian Sánchez in the project In Astris. In 2018, he unveiled Bastian’s World, an intimate project named after his loyal Yorkshire terrier. The self‑titled debut album, released on vinyl by Magnoliadamasco, marked a creative turning point and established his unique sonic identity. Today, he continues to expand his universe from the Lost Void Music Studio, specializing in professional mixing and mastering. With influences ranging from The Prodigy, The KLF, Jean‑Michel Jarre, Beastie Boys, Chemical Brothers, Pink Floyd, Moby, Orbital, Paul van Dyk, Westbam, Bastian’s World delivers a powerful blend of nostalgia and futurism. His discography includes City Lights, Now We Rise, Netrunners, and New Shamans, and he is currently working with Moonlife Records.
