Alessio Grossi, professionally known as Alexio DJ, was born in Ascoli Piceno, a small town in central Italy. His first encounter with Latin music came in 1998, at the age of 9, on the dance floor thanks to his parents. After many years of dancing and studying music, in 2003 his passion turned into a real profession. His refined musical taste, technical skills, and love for music quickly brought him into the world of salsa, bachata, and Caribbean rhythms, developing a personal and recognizable DJ style. At the age of 22, he founded “Sabrosura! Records”, dedicated to pressing, distributing, and selling salsa vinyl records worldwide, from Japan to Colombia. In 2015, he began collaborating with Smayra Publishing Group by Fabrizio Zoro, managing sub-labels such as Abanico Records, Tripeo Records, and iLatin Music. As founder, executive director, and producer of these three labels, Alexio created numerous salsa and bachata hits and compilations, working with renowned artists and projects on an international scale. He has performed in the United States (New York, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco), Canada (Montreal, Toronto), Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Dubai, across Europe, and in Asia (Bangkok, Singapore). Today, he is the most internationally traveled Italian Latin music DJ, bringing his unique sound to the world’s most prestigious festivals and clubs. As a producer, he has collaborated with world-class artists including Haila Maria Mompié, Frankie Figueroa, Tito Puente Jr, New Swing Sextet, Esme, Felix, Akai Rojas, Dustin Richie, Mr Don, sP Polanco, Mario Baro, René Alvarez, Marco Puma, and Grupo Extra. His productions include bachata hits such as Amor Verdadero and Replay. Alexio DJ is recognized for a style that blends tradition and innovation, making him a highly sought-after figure in Latin festivals and dance floors around the world. His versatility allows him to master Cuban salsa, New York salsa, bachata, and reggaeton with the same energy and precision, delivering top-level DJ sets that ignite any dance floor.
