Sustention

Sustention is a Hamburg-based techno DJ and producer originally from southern Germany. From a young age, he immersed himself in music, playing piano and drums alongside his six musically gifted siblings. This early exposure to a rich musical environment led him to start producing his own music at the age of 14. Initially drawn to Dubstep and Drum and Bass, Sustention shifted his focus to Techno at 16. A key influence throughout his journey has been his brother, Introversion, who played a pivotal role in shaping his sound. While his early style was heavily inspired by rave culture, his music has since evolved into a unique blend of tribal rhythms and groove-driven techno, still infused with elements of trance and raw rave energy. His diverse sound can be heard in his debut release on the renowned KONFLKT label, featuring three original tracks and a remix by Introversion. He has since released music on Numerus Records and Transmission, further expanding his artistic reach. As a member of the southern German Urzeiger collective, Sustention has performed at numerous events, most notably a standout festival appearance in Switzerland, where he shared the stage with Introversion. Since July 2022, he has also held a residency with the Grauzone event series, solidifying his presence in the techno scene.
