Dj KoolChino

Growing up in Los Angeles, my musical upbringing was a blend of conscious hip-hop and sun-drenched street beats. The jazz-infused rhythms of A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots and the playful lyricism of De La Soul provided the foundation, while the homegrown talent of People Under the Stairs, Ugly Duckling and Visionaries showed me the power of the local underground scene. These influences shaped my style, pushing me to be more than just a DJ—but a storyteller. Behind the decks, I weave together these threads, paying homage to the artists who made me fall in love with the culture. My live sets are a testament to the enduring power of good music and the city that raised me. Over the course of my path, I have embraced the opportunity to expand my musical palette and refine my craft by connecting with a diverse network of fellow DJs. This journey has equipped me with a deep knowledge of multiple genres, including cutting-edge house music, high-energy club anthems, commercial hits, and timeless funk classics. I draw on this versatility to deliver customized musical experiences, seamlessly transitioning from backyard boogies to sophisticated corporate events.
