ZØID

ZØID is an emerging hard techno and schranz artist based in Oldenburg, originally from Emden in East Frisia, whose roots are deeply embedded in rave culture. Unlike many artists, his journey didn’t start in a studio, but on the dancefloor — surrounded by raw energy, driven by the intense connection between music and people.

That energy quickly became the catalyst for taking things further. Stepping behind the decks himself, ZØID gained early recognition by winning a DJ contest hosted by “Aufm Rave.” This moment marked not only his entry into the scene, but also the beginning of a path defined by authenticity and a direct connection to the crowd.

His first time playing live in front of an audience became a defining experience. The immediate feedback, the tension on the floor, and the shared intensity made one thing clear: music is more than sound — it’s a space for emotion, release, and living the moment to the fullest.

Musically, ZØID operates between hard, industrial hard techno and uncompromising schranz. His sets are built on pressure, speed, and emotional intensity. Heavy kicks collide with dark atmospheres, while driving rhythms create and release tension in a constant flow. There are no unnecessary breaks, no standstill — just relentless forward movement designed to keep the crowd locked in.

What sets ZØID apart is his perspective. Despite growing recognition, he still sees himself as part of the crowd. He is not just an artist, but a raver — someone who continues to experience the scene from within. This mindset translates directly into his performances, which are not distant showcases, but shared experiences with the audience.

Early in his career, ZØID has already played multiple shows within the “Aufm Rave” environment as well as other formats alongside known German DJs. He also received his first festival requests at an early stage. One particularly defining moment was an intense B2B set with Fabian Farell during only his third performance — a clear demonstration of his presence and potential.

Feedback from promoters consistently highlights his impact: quickly filling dancefloors, maintaining high energy, and keeping people engaged longer than expected. ZØID’s sets don’t just work technically — they create an atmosphere that holds people in place.

Alongside his performances, ZØID is also building his own event series “Boilerrave,” aiming to push his vision of uncompromising hard techno and authentic rave culture even further.
