Zekke

An Argentine artist with 10 years of experience as a DJ and producer, Zekke has built his identity within the underground culture, developing a sound influenced by his roots in Hip Hop, Rap and Vintage Boom Bap, fused with the energy and depth of contemporary electronic music.

His career as a DJ began playing at parties in the south of the country, and then developed in the scene of Greater Buenos Aires and its surroundings, passing through renowned clubs and spaces such as Bahrain, Bee Club, Brooklyn, Club La Octava, Galería Pub, Ink, Volt Club, among others.

Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to share moments and live experiences that profoundly marked his artistic development, having as great references and mentors artists such as Bodeler, the artist he emphasizes the most and has as a mentor today, Michael Bibi Colleague and friend, Latmun, Detlef, Guti, among other exponents of the international scene. These encounters allowed him to learn directly from artists he admires and absorb different perspectives on DJing, groove and building his own identity.

As a Music Maker, Zekke is able to develop his music holistically, being a producer, singer, songwriter, lyricist, and remixer. Writing their own lyrics, working on their voices and building their productions from a personal vision, seeking that each element is part of an authentic artistic identity.

In parallel to his development as a DJ, Zekke has worked for years on building his sound as a producer. Their drums and rhythmic structures occupy a central place in their proposal, combining urban influences with a vision focused on Minimal, Deep Tech and the most underground currents of electronica.

His project began to generate international repercussion through releases on labels such as ISSUES by DETLEF, Together with his colleague, mentor and friend JP Torres now as "MR Face UP" Releasing his successful single "Real G's" participating in a V.A. of several artists such as Spega, Balanka, Victor Romero, which obtained support, downloads and recognition from references of the world scene such as Detlef, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, Melanie Ribbe, Sosa, Marco Carola, among others.

He has also been part of releases on Genesis BA by Martino Resi and Music By The Eye by MR Face Up, again receiving support and downloads from prominent artists of the scene, progressively consolidating his presence within the underground circuit.

His music and project have also managed to transcend the club circuit, reaching different stages and international platforms, with a presence at festivals and events linked to projects such as One Life by Michael Bibi and Solid Grooves Motel, as well as Crobar Club, and with music playing on LOS40 Dance Radio, among other dissemination spaces.

Currently, Zekke continues to develop an ever-evolving sound, seeking to combine his roots in Hip Hop culture with a modern take on electronic music. Their goal is to build an authentic, recognizable and different sound identity, taking their drums, grooves, vocals and artistic concept to their own territory.

Rather than following a trend, Zekke seeks to create it.
