Zahra

Zahra is a Cape Town-based DJ - born in Harare and raised in the city of Polokwane, she later moved to Cape Town to pursue further studies. It is here she discovered her love for underground nightlife and electronic music.

Zahra's love for electronic music grew with her exposure to Cape Town's underground nightlife, often frequenting events alone to listen to the music and dance. Since then, Zahra's fascination with electronic music, the dancefloor, and the feelings they evoke within people continues to expand, unboundedly. Zahra plays a wide range of genres and is identifiable through her full house music sets featuring various sub-genres of house; or her blends of bouncy/percussive house sounds with various club genres including UKG, Jersey club, juke, and experimental techno. Zahra wishes to create the dancefloors she wishes existed, and her sets aim to inspire feelings of euphoria and movement on the dancefloor.
