Ángel or as he calls himself "YØ", understands music as a space to explore, break the routine and discover new ways to connect with sound. His project was born from a simple idea: art should not feel distant or exclusive; anyone can create, experiment and find their own way to express themselves. As part of Colima's creative scene, he also promotes Volcán Sonoro, an artistic dissemination project that seeks to give visibility to local talent, connect proposals and open more spaces for music and its artists to find new audiences. From that same philosophy comes DJ YØ: an invitation to get out of the ordinary and let yourself be carried away by sounds that may not yet be part of your world. His musical exploration covers genres such as Lo-Fi House, Melodic House, Downtempo, UK Garage, Brazilian House and Tech House, building a proposal that seeks to expand horizons, arouse curiosity and show that there is always something new to listen to. More than being pigeonholed in a genre or chasing trends, YØ is committed to constant exploration, creative freedom and collective discovery. Their project is not born from competition, but from the possibility of sharing, learning and growing together with those who are also building the scene. Because discovering music is also discovering new ways of feeling, creating and looking at the world. DJ YØ does not compete, he explores. He does not seek to impose a sound, but to open paths to find it. An invitation to listen differently, to support what is born close to you and to remember that you don't need permission to start creating.
