Yellody — Biography From a young age, Wez (aka Yellody) was drawn to music, playing drums throughout school before developing a deep interest in music production and DJing. He began DJing at 15, learning his craft on vinyl turntables and quickly earning slots at local nightclubs in his hometown of Wigan, including Cricketeers, Maximes, and Pada Lounge. In 2014, Yellody took his sound overseas, securing residencies in two of Europe's biggest party destinations: Malia, Crete and Ayia Napa, Cyprus. Performing nightly to thousands of partygoers sharpened his ability to read a crowd and command a dancefloor, and led to a standout opportunity opening for international pop artist Example. Rise as a Producer Returning to the UK, Yellody continued building his reputation at respected venues including Sankeys in Manchester, where he supported acts such as Chuckie and Michael Woods (OFFAIAH). In 2015, he secured a residency at Wigan's renowned house music institution The Attic, playing alongside international names including Tom Staar, Corey James, and D.O.D. Alongside his DJ schedule, Yellody focused on developing his sound in the studio, teaching himself production on FL Studio. His tracks soon caught the attention of Top 100 DJs Ummet Ozcan and Sander Van Doorn, both of whom featured his music on their radio shows. Major Label Signing Rebranding as PATIØN in 2016, he refined his sound into a more commercial deep house direction. In 2017 he reached a major career milestone, signing with Armin van Buuren's globally influential Armada Music. Further releases followed on Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Records, alongside collaborations with vocalists including Jake O'Neill and Damon C. Scott. Returning to the Yellody name, Wez continued releasing across respected labels such as Sirup Music, Noface Records, and Perfect Havoc, the label behind the rise of UK producer Joel Corry, a three-time Brit Award nominee. His releases earned chart success in Germany and tastemaker support worldwide. Recent Highlights In 2025, Yellody signed to Proper Decent Choons, marking another step forward in his release schedule. His track Fallen Angel on Perfect Havoc earned a feature on BBC Introducing and picked up playlist support from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. His compilation album Perfect Havoc: Power Hour with YELLODY, released through Apple Music, achieved chart success in Italy, the United Arab Emirates, and Thailand. His single Summer Nights earned playlist support from Nicky Romero and Arielle Free, and his productions continue to receive airplay on radio stations across the globe. With a sound built on reinventing classic influences, experimenting with samples across genres, and stamping his own identity on every release, Yellody remains open to collaborations with producers, singers, and songwriters, as well as remix opportunities.
