Viri Roots, a Mexican artist who has dedicated herself to reviving the American musical spirit of the 20s and 30s, is the vocalist and leader of the band Viri Roots & The Rootskers which focuses on genres such as blues, ragtime, dixieland, country, swing and folk.
The interesting thing about Viri Roots is that it uses unusual instruments, such as the washboard (a plastic wash), jugs (vases), kazoo, ukulele and cigar box guitar (a guitar made from a cigar box).
His music is a fusion of American musical tradition with a Mexican twist.
You can listen to his music on several world-class platforms where he has songs like "Amargo" (feat. Adam Constantine & Emanuel Gonzalez), among many more.
