VERGARA

Esteban Ignacio Álvarez Vergara, known artistically as VERGARA, is a 29-year-old Chilean DJ and music producer based in Santiago. His passion for electronic music arose in 2019 after attending his first party, which prompted him in 2020 to acquire his first DDJ-400 controller and learn self-taught through YouTube tutorials, influenced by icons such as Carl Cox and his iconic set in Ibiza. Training and Initial Development In April 2022, VERGARA moved to Sweden to live with his brother, where he began studies in music production and digital synthesis in a 6-month online course at the DjSchool academy, while improving his English and working in construction, laundry, and moving. A migratory inconvenience forced him to return to Chile in December of that year, but he resumed his training with a DDJ-FLX6 and in 2024 he took private lessons with Alean in Primer Beats (6 sessions), who took him to his first parties. International Experiences & Gigs In 2025, he traveled alone to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he completed beginner and professional DJ courses (2 months each) in 120BPM, worked as a garzón and lived 4 months fine-tuning his ear and technique. That year he debuted in Club Ámbar and Martes de Alika, consolidating his presence on the local scene. Current Career Currently in 2026, VERGARA joined the MDA collective, increasing its dates on tracks with a larger audience, as a result of their constant effort. His career reflects resilience and dedication, positioning him as a promise in Chilean electronic music.
