Tonny Q

Tonny Q is a live techno artist based in Cantabria, Spain, whose project was born from the search for a personal way of understanding electronic live performance. Their sound moves between raw techno, hardgroove, industrial sounds and tribal-inspired grooves, combining forcefulness, rhythm and a selection of textures from different musical worlds.

One of the main characteristics of their proposal is the use of samples extracted from their own vinyl collection, from very different styles and periods, which are then processed, edited and organized in Ableton to be part of their live performance. The result is a flexible musical tool that allows you to reinterpret those sounds within a techno context and build each session in a different way.

Tonny Q does not approach his performance as a conventional DJ set. The computer and hardware become instruments of performance, allowing you to launch, combine, transform and manipulate the different elements in real time. The aim is for each performance to have its own movement and personality, always maintaining a strong orientation towards the dance floor.

Parallel to the live project, Tonny Q develops his facet as a producer, with his own music published on Bandcamp and new material in process. His work seeks to progressively expand the sound universe of the project and make his own productions an increasingly important part of his performances.

After starting to consolidate his first performances and collaborations with collectives, Tonny Q's goal is to continue taking his proposal to new spaces, clubs, raves, festivals and scenes, both in Spain and internationally.

Live techno. Sampled vinyl. Raw energy.
