Tomas Contreras

Born in Córdoba, Argentina, Tomas Contreras is a 28-year-old artist whose purpose in the booth is clear and forceful: to transmit music with a deep emotional sense that manages to genuinely connect with the soul of the track.

His first steps in electronic music took shape at the Orbital Academy in August 2017. This solid technical and artistic background quickly prompted her senior debut in February 2018 at the iconic Bela Lugosi. This venue became a fundamental space at the beginning of his career, performing there on more than four occasions and forging his initial experience in front of the demanding Cordoba track.

Fully identified with the essence of Progressive House, Tomas flows naturally into textures of Deep and Organic House. To this rich sound palette he adds the elegance and groove characteristic of Detroit-style Deep Techno, designing sets that stand out for their immersive atmospheres, their warmth and an impeccable narrative development.

This sound versatility and his fine reading of the track have led him to take control of the most recognized booths on the local scene. Throughout his career, he has added outstanding presentations in iconic clubs and cycles such as Basement Club, Bela Lugosi, Urban Club, Rooftop, The Journey and Chilli Street Club.

Today, his impact on electronic music is comprehensive and multifaceted. In addition to consolidating his artistic and technical maturity as a soloist, Tomas is one half of the export duo Symbiose. Simultaneously, he stands as one of the great engines of the local underground by being the creator and main resident of Void Sessions, a successful cycle based in Chilli that promotes and curates the sound of his hometown uninterruptedly.
