TOHUI

TOHUI is a DJ and producer from Pereira, Colombia, whose artistic proposal is built from musical exploration, versatility and the constant search for new ways to connect with the public.

Its identity is born mainly within electronic music, having techno and its different subgenres as one of the pillars of its sound. However, TOHUI understands music as a space of exploration in which the boundaries between genres can be broken to build different experiences in each presentation.

Their sets are characterized by constant energy, changes of atmosphere and a musical selection that can cover different expressions of techno and other electronic sounds. From hypnotic and enveloping moments to more intense, forceful and experimental passages, their proposal seeks to adapt to the context of each space without losing its own identity.

For TOHUI, DJing isn't just about selecting songs and making transitions. A performance also involves understanding the moment, reading the audience, and building a narrative through sound. Every track, energy shift, and transition can become a tool to transform the atmosphere of a place and generate a real connection with those in front of the booth.

To this electronic exploration is added a more commercial and versatile facet, in which he can incorporate genres such as dancehall, amapiano and other urban sounds when the concept or format of the event requires it. This breadth allows him to perform in different stages and audiences, maintaining the ability to adapt his proposal without neglecting his artistic identity.

TOHUI has about two years of experience as a DJ and during this process he has participated in different events, developed sessions and constantly worked to strengthen his technique and musical criteria. His evolution has been marked by experimentation and by an increasingly clear search for his own identity as an artist.

His relationship with the world of events goes beyond the booth. Thanks to his training in Audiovisual Design and his interest in creative direction, he has developed a vision in which music, image, aesthetics and experience can be part of the same concept.

This perspective has led him to also get involved in the production and direction of events, understanding each project from a holistic perspective. For TOHUI, an event begins long before the first track is played: the concept, visual identity, space, artists, lighting, communication and music can work together to build a complete experience.

Within this journey is KIOXZ, a collective of DJs born in Pereira under the concept "Hybrid Club Culture". TOHUI is one of its six founding members and participates as director and part of the creative team of the project, getting involved in artistic development, event production and content creation.

His work within KIOXZ has allowed him to share stages with different artists, explore different formats and sounds and, at the same time, gain experience in areas that complement his individual development as a DJ. This collective experience is an important part of his growth within the scene and his vision of club culture.

At the same time, TOHUI continues to develop its individual artistic project through sessions, audiovisual content and new musical explorations. Its sets reflect a constant search to find new combinations of sounds and build routes that keep the audience connected to the experience.

Although techno represents one of their main musical territories, TOHUI does not seek to lock themselves into a single label. Their proposal is based on curiosity and the possibility of moving between different sounds, intensities and atmospheres according to what each moment needs.

His goal is to continue evolving as a DJ and producer, consolidate a recognizable artistic identity and take his proposal to new scenarios. At the same time, he seeks to continue developing projects related to event production and audiovisuals, integrating the different disciplines that are part of his creative vision.

From Pereira, TOHUI builds a proposal that combines electronic music, exploration, versatility and an audiovisual look. A proposal that understands the booth as a space for expression, but also as a tool to create experiences.

Because for TOHUI, a party is not only heard: it is felt, lived and remembered.
