STYXSID approaches DJing less as a performance and more as a way of bringing people into the same pulse. At the centre of his sound is house music: warm, rhythmic and spacious enough to let a groove breathe. From there, his sets travel through tech house, Afro-inspired rhythms, melodic passages, South Asian percussion, familiar vocal fragments and sounds gathered from dance floors around the world.
He is drawn to the space between recognition and discovery—the moment when something remembered returns in an unfamiliar form. A melody from home might appear over a deeper bassline; a familiar voice may drift through a groove shaped by Berlin’s club culture. These elements are never treated as decoration. They are part of how Styxsid hears music: rooted in South Asia, open to global influence and always changing through movement.
Rather than forcing genres into a formula, Styxsid reads the room and allows tracks to speak to one another. His sets are created for dancers, but their deeper purpose is connection—the brief, human moment when people carrying different stories recognise themselves in the same rhythm.
