Full bio

Søren is a Colombian DJ, music producer, guitarist and bassist whose relationship with music began long before the DJ booth. His career has been shaped by years of live performance, instrumental practice, different musical environments and a constant interest in exploring how music can transform the atmosphere of a space.

His musical background began with the guitar and bass, instruments through which he developed a strong understanding of rhythm, harmony, arrangement and performance. Playing in rock and metal bands, as well as working with orchestras and other live formats, gave him an experience that goes beyond simply selecting music: he learned how musicians interact, how audiences respond to different musical dynamics and how a performance can communicate without words.

This foundation became an important part of his identity as a DJ.

Since 2019, Søren has developed his career behind the decks, bringing the musicality of a live musician into electronic music. Rather than limiting himself to a single genre or audience, he has built a versatile approach that allows him to adapt his sets to different environments, occasions and people.

His experience includes club performances, festivals, private celebrations and corporate events, where understanding the audience and maintaining the right atmosphere are essential. These environments have taught him to read a room, recognize when to build energy, when to create space and when the music should simply become part of the environment.

For Søren, DJing is not about playing the same set everywhere. Every venue has its own personality, every audience has a different response and every moment requires a different musical approach.

His repertoire reflects this philosophy.

He is comfortable working with international and Latin music, classics and contemporary sounds, as well as a broad range of electronic styles including House, Deep House, Organic House, Afro House, Progressive House and more atmospheric electronic music. His ability to move between styles allows him to perform in different hospitality environments, from relaxed daytime sessions and sophisticated lounge settings to sunset experiences, private events and higher-energy nighttime performances.

This versatility is particularly important when working with international audiences. Guests can come from completely different cultural and musical backgrounds, and a successful DJ needs to understand how to connect with them without making the experience feel forced.

Søren approaches each performance with this principle in mind: the music should serve the experience.

For a resort, restaurant, lounge or private event, the DJ is part of a larger environment. The music interacts with the architecture, the location, the lighting, the time of day, the food, the people and the overall identity of the venue. Søren understands this relationship and adapts his musical selection accordingly.

A sunset session, for example, can require a completely different musical language from a late-night celebration. A sophisticated dinner may call for a subtle and elegant selection, while a private celebration may gradually require more rhythm and energy. The ability to understand these transitions is one of the central elements of his approach.

His background as a guitarist and bassist also gives him a particularly strong relationship with rhythm and groove. Years of playing instruments have developed his sensitivity to timing, dynamics and musical interaction, qualities that influence the way he builds DJ sets.

Alongside his work as a DJ, Søren has developed himself as a music producer. Since 2021, he has been creating and studying electronic music with a strong focus on sound design, arrangement, mixing and production. This process has expanded his understanding of music from performance and selection into the technical construction of sound itself.

His production work explores Deep, Progressive, Organic and Hypnotic electronic music, with an emphasis on atmosphere, groove, texture and movement. This artistic side represents a more personal dimension of his musical identity while complementing his versatility as a professional DJ.

For Søren, production and DJing are interconnected. Producing music allows him to understand the structure and behavior of sound at a deeper level, while DJing provides the opportunity to understand how that sound interacts with real people in real environments.

This combination of musician, producer and DJ gives him a broader perspective on performance.

He understands music from the perspective of the player, the producer and the listener.

As a guitarist and bassist, he understands performance and rhythm.

As a producer, he understands sound, arrangement, dynamics and sonic detail.

As a DJ, he understands selection, progression, timing and audience response.

Together, these experiences form the foundation of his professional identity.

MUSIC AS AN EXPERIENCE

Søren believes that a DJ's role is not simply to play music, but to create an environment.

In hospitality, this becomes especially important. Guests may not always consciously remember the exact songs they heard, but they remember how a place felt. Music can influence whether a sunset feels intimate, whether a dinner feels sophisticated, whether a lounge feels welcoming or whether a celebration becomes memorable.

His approach is therefore based on adaptability rather than a rigid formula.

He can work with familiar international music when the environment requires accessibility, incorporate Latin sounds when appropriate, move toward contemporary House and Deep House for a modern atmosphere, or develop a more sophisticated electronic sound through Organic, Afro and Progressive influences.

The goal is always to understand the environment first and then choose the music that belongs there.

This makes his profile particularly suited to international hospitality, where the audience can change every day and the musical requirements can vary considerably from one service to another.

INTERNATIONAL AND HOSPITALITY APPROACH

Søren's professional objective is to bring his experience as a versatile musician and DJ into international hospitality environments, particularly resorts, hotels, beach clubs, lounges and private events.

His musical profile allows him to move between different levels of energy without losing coherence. He can provide a relaxed musical atmosphere during the day, develop a sophisticated sunset session, support a restaurant or lounge environment in the evening, and transition into a more energetic performance when the occasion demands it.

This flexibility is supported by his experience performing for different types of audiences.

Corporate events have required professionalism, punctuality, adaptability and an understanding that music must support the purpose of the event. Private events have required the ability to respond to individual preferences and create a memorable atmosphere for guests. Club and festival environments have developed his ability to manage energy and musical progression.

Each context has contributed something different to his approach.

The result is a DJ who can understand that a professional performance is not defined only by technical ability, but also by judgment.

Knowing when not to change the music can be just as important as knowing when to change it.

Knowing when to increase the energy can be just as important as knowing when to create space.

And understanding the audience can be just as important as having an extensive music library.

MUSICAL VERSATILITY

One of Søren's strongest characteristics is his broad musical vocabulary.

His background allows him to move naturally between genres rather than treating them as isolated categories. Rock, metal, orchestral music, Latin music, electronic music and contemporary club culture have all contributed to his understanding of rhythm, harmony, dynamics and musical identity.

For hospitality environments, this translates into a practical advantage: he is not dependent on a single musical formula.

His repertoire can include:

- International music - Latin music - Classics and timeless favorites - Commercial and accessible House - Deep House - Organic House - Afro House - Progressive House - Melodic electronic music - Hypnotic and deeper electronic sounds - Lounge and atmospheric selections - Higher-energy electronic music for late-night environments

The exact selection is always adapted to the venue, audience and occasion.

Rather than presenting himself as a DJ restricted to one genre, Søren sees his versatility as a professional tool.

His artistic identity remains rooted in electronic music, but his professional repertoire is broad enough to work with different audiences and hospitality concepts.

FROM LIVE MUSIC TO THE DJ BOOTH

The transition from instrumentalist to DJ was a natural evolution.

Years spent playing guitar and bass developed an understanding of music that is physical as well as intellectual. Rhythm is something experienced through the body, and playing with other musicians teaches constant awareness of timing and interaction.

A DJ works with many of the same principles, although the tools are different.

Instead of playing every note, the DJ works with selection, sequencing, phrasing, transitions, energy and atmosphere. Instead of responding to other musicians, the DJ responds directly to the audience.

Søren's instrumental background therefore remains present in the way he approaches a set.

He pays attention to groove, rhythm and musical progression rather than treating tracks as isolated pieces. He understands that the relationship between two songs can be as important as the songs themselves.

This perspective helps him create sets that feel intentional and progressive.
