Semaneo

Semaneo discovered electronic music from the dancefloor. In the late ’90s, at the height of techno’s dominance, he had his first contact with vinyl, though back then his relationship with music was that of a passionate listener rather than a DJ. The arrival of MIDI controllers in the early 2000s opened up a new way for him to express himself, and from then on the booth became his way of telling stories.

His artist name defines his method. “Semaneo” stands for consistency in the search for music: finding tracks he is passionate about and saving them to surprise the crowd in his next set. Regardless of release date, every track that makes it into his selection answers to a personal criterion and a clear sonic identity. The result is a refined, driving sound with an elegant line, moving between Deep House, Deep Tech, House and Tech House, where well-measured breaks and harmonic mixing build a coherent journey from start to finish. His selection draws from labels such as Toolroom, Deeperfect, Stereo Productions, Cécille, 303LVRS, Cocoa, Techaway Records, La Pera Records, Mindshake, Under No Illusion and 1994 Music.

For Semaneo, music is above all a social experience. After a period away from the decks, he returned in 2024, feeling the time was right. Since then he has been making his way through the Madrid scene, playing the booth at Gilda Club with Club del Fomo, as well as Forty Festival, SoundBaths Madrid and Hangar 48. He also collaborates on a series of private Coffee Rave–style events and runs his MNMX mix series on SoundCloud.

In 2026 he joined BRICK, a collective of five DJs with complementary sounds, united under the motto “Built To Dance”. A project that reflects his approach to music: shared, consistent and made for the dancefloor.

His goal behind the decks is clear: for the crowd to feel free and dance like no one is watching. His next step is to establish himself in the Madrid scene through a residency, both in clubs and in more laid-back venues, where the music sets the tone for the evening and takes it to another level.
