Selectah

Selectah is a DJ and selector from the city of Paraná, Entre Ríos. His first approach to DJing took place in 2020, driven by curiosity and the constant search for new sounds. His first steps were linked to Hip Hop and electronic music, beginning to make his way into the local scene through the organization and participation in different events linked to Hip Hop culture.

With the passage of time, that search expanded his musical universe and transformed his way of understanding the dance floor. Currently, his proposal finds in House his main starting point, exploring its different nuances and combining it with elements of Minimal, Deep House and Garage. However, his roots are still present: Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Dub and Reggae are part of a language that runs through his selection and brings identity to his sets.

Rather than limiting themselves to a certain genre or formula, Selectah understands musical selection as a tool to build moments. Their sets are developed from groove, seeking to generate movement and connection with the track while traveling through different climates, textures and energies.

His identity as a selector is born precisely from that crossover between worlds: from Hip Hop culture and the importance of musical research, to the language of club and the different expressions of House music. That combination allows him to build dynamic sessions, where different eras, influences and styles can coexist within the same journey without losing coherence.

In constant exploration and evolution, Selectah continues to deepen its sound and its link with DJ culture, understanding each presentation as an opportunity to share music, discover new connections and generate a particular experience with those on the other side of the booth.
