I'm Said Bocanegra, DJ and producer of Progressive House, originally from Mexico City.
My connection with electronic music began at the age of 13, when I discovered trance. Over time, that curiosity became a constant search to find my own sound, until I reached Progressive House, a genre with which I fully identify today.
I have taken my music to different clubs in Mexico City, developing a way of mixing in which I seek that each set has a story and a direction. My main influences come from artists such as Hernán Cattáneo, Nick Warren, Fernando Ferreyra, Nicolás Rada, among other references that have marked my way of understanding the genre.
I like to build subtle, deep and melodic sets, where mixing is not just about joining tracks, but about creating a sonic journey that evolves naturally and connects with the listener.
As a producer, my project began with Mantij Recordings Colombia, where I have found the space to develop a sound identity based on harmony, melody and depth, elements that are also an essential part of my way of living and understanding music.
My goal is to continue to evolve, tell stories through music and build an identity that is recognizable both behind a booth and inside a studio.
