Hello, I’m rue, also known as Seyon Ryu. My sets are rooted in hyperpop, exploring “girlhood” and femininity across a wide emotional and aesthetic spectrum.

The “girlhood” I aim to express is not limited to something cute or traditionally beautiful. it often exists in a space that is both delicate and destructive, strange and mesmerizing at the same time. I’m interested in translating these layered, contradictory forms of femininity into sound and atmosphere.

I have performed at various venues across Seoul, including Cakeshop, Modeci, ACS, SCR, and Visla FM, and continue to expand my presence across notable venues both locally and internationally, including BYYB Radio in Shanghai.
