Ridwan Kipp

Ridwan Kipp is a DJ and producer based in Spain, playing funky house edits, disco house and nu-disco, with influences from French, Italian and American funk & disco.

His sets: feature exclusively contemporary, all-new and reworked funky versions of a wide range of iconic tracks, sounds, eras and genres, creating an updated mix of groove, nostalgia and good energy - moving from relaxed and sophisticated moments to more energetic dancefloor sections.

His musical references: can come from almost any genre - including disco, funk, soul, current and retro pop, all rock subgenres, vintage sounds and more - yet the music itself is always updated and brought into contemporary funky house arrangements.

The aim: is to take iconic, timeless and well-known tracks from different genres and give them a fresh, dancefloor-focused treatment, rather than simply playing music from the past.

This makes his sound suitable for: beach clubs, rooftops, restaurants, hotels, aperitivos, fashion and lifestyle events, as well as more traditional club settings.

Production: Alongside DJing, Ridwan produces edits and remixes in the same musical territory, using contemporary arrangements, funky grooves and reworked vocals to give familiar material a new setting.

Several of his remixes and mashups have appeared on the Hypeddit Nu Disco charts, reaching the Top 100, Top 50 and Top 10; while several of his theme-curated Mixcloud live sets have also charted in their respective subgenres.
