Rewek

DJ REWEK is a DJ and turntablista from La Paz, Bolivia, with a career that began in 2017, when he discovered in DJing a way to turn his obsession with music into an experience shared with the public.

His first steps were marked by Hip Hop, Bass music, electronic music and Turntablism. Over time, his sound evolved towards Open Format, mainly incorporating Reggaeton, Cumbia and the sounds that dominate the dance floor, without losing the technical essence that defines his way of playing.

In 2024 he won the National DJ Battle, obtaining recognition as a representative of Pioneer DJ in Bolivia. That same year he reached the Top 20 of the DMC Open Online, an achievement he would repeat in 2025, representing Bolivia in both editions. He has also participated in competitions such as Red Bull 3Style and in turntablism battles such as Flip or Flop.

His proposal combines musical selection, mixing, scratching and routines built especially for his sets. Through his presentations he has even developed a particular fusion between Turntablism and Andean and folkloric sounds, taking turntable techniques to unusual terrain.

For REWEK, a good set doesn't need to respect genres: it needs to keep the hype going. Their goal is to build a sequence in which one song seems to continue within the next, using mixes, cuts, and tricks to keep the audience singing, dancing, and reacting from start to finish.

Almost a decade after starting his journey, DJ REWEK continues to explore new ways to turn technique and music selection into a single experience.
