Rafa Cubas DJ

I'm Rafa Cubas, DJ since 2021. I started at 18 years old, with a lot of desire and the desire gradually transformed into a job. From that moment on, I didn't stop playing, learning and building my own style on top of the booth.

My forte is cachengue and reggaeton, with a total weakness for old reggaeton — those songs that never fail and that make the track explode as soon as the first few seconds play. But I don't stop there: I also got into tech house, techengue and guaracha, so my set always has variety to sustain the party from start to finish.

What I like most about this job is that no two nights are the same. Each party has its own energy, its own audience, its own moment — and my job is to read that in real time and put together the musical journey in the moment, not before. That's why I don't play with a closed setlist: I play what the track asks of me, constantly adapting to the vibes of the people.

Over the years I gained experience in all kinds of events: weddings, civil events, 15th birthday parties, birthdays of all ages, receptions and celebrations of soccer champions. Each one has its code, its rhythm and its key moment — and I learned to handle all of them, always with the same goal: that people don't stop dancing.
