I'm ROTTOO, a hardcore DJ born in Medellín. My project was born between industrial noise, digital culture and the obsession with high BPMs, building sets where speed, distortion and emotion constantly collide.

I came to hardcore thanks to hakken, to the impact of the first Hardcore parties reaching the need to find a more extreme, more physical and more real sound. Since then, my approach has been to explore different hardcore territories such as Industrial Hardcore, Frenchcore, Uptempo, Gabber and Millenium, mixing aggressive changes of kicks, dark melodies and a strong influence of extreme metal, especially metalcore and deathcore.

In my sets I seek to generate movement, impression and pure energy. I'm interested in creating moments where dance becomes almost automatic: collective chaos, euphoria and liberation through sound. My sound aesthetic is heavy, loud and dark, but also emotional, influenced by both underground hardcore artists and rap, internet and digital cultures that marked my way of consuming music.

I have participated in different spaces of the hardcore and alternative scene in Medellín, including Xero Club, and I am currently the founder of Hardtokia, a collective focused on promoting and disseminating all the subgenres of hardcore in the city.

I am currently working on future releases oriented to Frenchcore and Hardcore, expanding a proposal where distortion, energy and feeling work as the same language.
