Qhoid

Qaid, stage-name Qhoid, is a Borneo based House DJ. An early predilection for underground hiphop and funky R&B of the 2000s would later blaze a trail for the love of dance music. These influences can still be heard in his track selections, which lean towards rhythmic grooves to the heavy peculiar basslines, with a twist of various vocal samples.

Coming back from summer festivals in 2025 has motivated him to broaden his music catalog, thus began his DJ-ing career with the passion of introducing the house music culture into the Malaysian party scene. He believes that bringing and exposing new and various genres into the community would be much appreciated for the global festival culture experience, to be experienced locally.

Pushing music technicalities aside, he perceives music as a cult of unity. He believes that there’s no bad music, but rather just preferences. And with that, the right music will find the right people and eventually, all walks of life will come together, on the dance floor, drifting with the rhythmic melodies, where the world melts away.
