Full bio

Pascal Kleiman (Toulouse, 1968), known worldwide as "The Amazing Pascal", is much more than a DJ and producer: he is a true legend of underground electronic music and a living example of self-improvement. Born without arms due to the effects of the drug thalidomide, Pascal never let his physical condition limit his immense passion for music. From a young age, he discovered his calling and developed a unique and amazing technical skill: mixing vinyl records and operating mixing consoles using only his feet.

His beginnings date back to the 80s in France, venturing into the punk scene and the free radio movement, highlighting his participation in the mythical Radio FMR in Toulouse. By the end of the decade, with the explosion of Acid House and the birth of rave culture in Europe, Pascal found his true path in synthesized rhythms and club culture.

In the early 90s, he moved to Spain, establishing himself in the vibrant scene of Valencia during the golden age of the "Ruta del Bakalao". He became a resident DJ at iconic nightclubs of the time such as NOD, where his avant-garde style and mastery in front of the decks catapulted him to fame. His ability to connect emotionally with the dance floor and his exquisite musical selection quickly made him a pioneer and an undisputed reference for an entire generation of clubbers.

Throughout his extensive career, Pascal has proven himself to be an eclectic artist, exploring and mastering various genres, from ambient and dub in his early days, to pure techno, acid and the deepest house. He has taken his unmistakable energy to the most important clubs and festivals in Europe, America and Asia, including prestigious stages such as the Sónar festival in Barcelona.

In addition to his role as a DJ, Kleiman is a prolific producer and has founded and managed his own record labels, actively contributing to the development of the electronic scene and supporting new talent. His life, work and philosophy were successfully captured in the documentary "Heroes. You don't need wings to fly" (2008), directed by Gabi Beneroso, which was awarded the award for Best Documentary Short Film at the Malaga Film Festival.

Today, Pascal Kleiman is still fully active, teaching, producing and spreading his inexhaustible energy on every set. His biography is not only the story of an innovative musician, but that of an indomitable spirit that shows the world that, with true love for art and determination, there are no barriers impossible to break down.
