ONE-K

Juan Camilo Vargas, known as ONE-K, is a DJ, collector, music researcher and lawyer specialized in the Colombian music industry based in Bogotá.

In addition to self-managing parties and playing in different venues in the city, he has researched and academically studied the electronic scene and rights management in the music industry, taking that reflection to the production of spaces for conversation.

According to their belief system, intuition and instinct are the most valuable things that each person has: they are what protects them and guides their decisions, and something that is refined with time and experience. That's why the symbol for ONE-K is a bristly cat. Alert, firm and guided by his feelings. A way of representing how he approaches the music and the dance floor.

Their proposal seeks to unite the traditional and purist sounds that shaped electronic music with the futuristic elements that define the avant-garde today. In their mix appear layers of raw techno, hypnotic techno, acid techno, experimental techno, groove techno and hard techno (without falling into the "rattle"), along with influences from UK bass, Latin bass and bounce, as well as Latin-futuristic rhythms such as carioca funk, tribal and raptor house.
