Moobi

Moobi is a DJ and producer, also known for his first musical project, Chris C. Born in Los Angeles, California, and currently based in Ecuador, his musical journey truly began in South America, where he immersed himself in the depths of the country’s underground scene.

Through both his productions and live performances, Moobi has cultivated a refined sonic identity, delivering musical experiences audiences describe as immersive and transcendent — journeys that dive into a distinct personal and sonic universe.

Moobi defies conventional categorization. His sound is a seamless fusion of hypnotic elements, blending European minimal techno with the festive energy of elevated minimal deeptech and the intricate textures of Romanian microhouse. Difficult to define for purists, his style is characterized by deep harmony, subtle groove, and a constant exploration of evolving soundscapes.

His fascination with electronic music began with early discoveries like The Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Dusty Kid, The Chemical Brothers, and Delerium. This passion deepened through the influence of artists such as Anthony Middleton, Herodot, Christian Burkhardt, Preesh, and Praslea — all of whom helped shape the direction of his early productions.

Throughout his career, Moobi has shared the stage with renowned artists including Steve Bug, Alci, James Teej, Jozif, Herodot, Mihigh, Priku, Praslea, Miguel Puente, Agents Of Time, DJ W!ld, My Favorite Robot, Terence Terry, Andrei Osyka, Rossi, Villanova, German Brigante, Droog, The Midnight Perverts, Bastard Love, Luca Bacchetti, Laura Jones, Lee Foss, Anthony Collins, Louie Fresco, Mr. C, Dance Spirit, Luis Leon, Nitin, Greg Pidcock, WAFF, and Vincent Lemieux, among others.

In New York, he has left his mark on respected venues such as TBA and Apolo Studio. With every performance, Moobi continues to shape his own space within the electronic music landscape — guided by a distinctive vision and a rare ability to forge deep, genuine connections with his audience.
