MONTEK

Montek — Artist Bio

Montek (Granollers, Barcelona, 1985) discovered electronic music at the age of 18, through the Catalan rave movement.

His early influences came from Drum & Bass, before he soon delved into the worlds of Hardtechno and Schranz.

After acquiring his first equipment, he began exploring DJing and music production in depth, developing a constant interest in every technical and creative detail. His dedication led him to become part of the Skizofrenik collective, where he shared experiences with renowned artists such as Necrodur, Mario Biani and Narkotic Dlux.

Over time, Montek gravitated towards a harder, more dynamic and personal approach to Schranz. This distinctive style opened the doors to the Trauma collective (Madrid/Toledo), followed by a long-term collaboration with 5 Minds Booking.

After three years of intense activity, he decided to focus on developing his own distinctive sound and artistic identity.

His persistence and dedication to creating a unique sound soon attracted the attention of international labels, with releases on Jason Mask, The Devils Rejects, Badbrains, GNOT, Ifactor, Elementz Records, Double Sense Records and many others.

Throughout his career, Montek has shared the booth with international artists such as DJ Hammond, Acid Flux, Sandy Warez, Greg Notill, Frank Kvitta, Viper XXL, Waldhaus, Malke, Alex TB and Svetec, among many others.
