Mikel White

Mikel White is a Spanish DJ and producer based in Bilbao whose proposal moves between House, Tech House and Minimal, with an identity marked by underground energy and a strong influence of Hip Hop culture. Their sound combines solid and danceable grooves, forceful basslines, dry drums, minimalist lines, urban vocals and funky elements, building productions designed directly for the club but with a recognizable personality beyond the dance floor.

Their approach seeks to place themselves at that point where the underground can coexist with a modern and accessible production, avoiding following too obvious formulas. In their tracks, the movement of the bass, the swing of the percussion, the vocal chops and dynamic structures that constantly maintain the energy stand out. Influenced by artists such as Tony Romera, SOSA, Crusy and Mau P, Mikel White has been developing his own language within electronic club music in recent years.

Based in Bilbao, his career as a producer has led him to release music on different national and international labels, including Material / Material Traxx, House Tribe, MIAW, Solace, Crazy Mind, Artema and Big Smile, in addition to his own record project, White Studio Label.

The evolution of its productions has also been reflected in digital stores, managing to introduce different releases within the Top 100 of Beatport and reaching prominent positions within categories such as UK Garage. Songs like "Get On My Wave", "You Cry" or "Green Stone" are part of a catalog that shows the different aspects of his sound, always connected by the same idea: groove, energy and personality.

During 2026 it has continued to expand its catalog with new launches and projects. Among them is "Step By Step EP", released through White Studio Label, where he re-explores that connection between House, minimalism, urban elements and a production designed to work on club sound systems.

Parallel to his role as a producer, Mikel White develops his career as a DJ transferring that same identity to his sessions. Their sets are characterized by a groove-oriented selection, mixing House, Tech House and Minimal sounds with an energetic progression and a clear track intention. She has performed in booths such as Sala Ugaondo, Sala Velvet and Balcón de Lola, forming part of the electronic scene in Bilbao and progressively developing her presence outside her local environment.

Rather than separating his DJ facet from that of producer, Mikel White understands both as parts of the same project. The studio is the place where you define your sound and the booth is the space where you can directly check how that music responds in front of the audience. This constant relationship between production and dance floor is one of the pillars of his artistic evolution.

That philosophy is also behind White Studio Label, a label created by Mikel White himself as a platform to publish music with creative freedom and develop its own sound and visual identity. The project shares many of the codes of his artistic career: underground aesthetics, minimalism, urban culture and electronic music designed for the club.

After years of working on his sound, Mikel White is in a growth stage in which his productions have begun to reach labels with greater projection and to obtain an increasing presence within specialized platforms. Their goal continues to be to evolve without losing what defines their music: bouncy basses, forceful grooves, funky details, urban influences and an immediate energy capable of connecting with the dance floor.

With new releases, collaborations and performances in development, Mikel White continues to build an independent artistic project that was born in Bilbao but clearly looks towards the international scene. A proposal based less on fitting into a specific label and more on developing a recognizable sound from the first bars.
